Who is eligible to use PocketRN?
Any adult aged 18 or older is eligible to use PocketRN. If you are a loved one or provide care for a patient that is eligible to use PocketRN, you are also eligible to join (please see our caregiver page). When signing up, you'll see current availability in your state.
Will my insurance pay for this?
Various PocketRN's partnerships support insurance plans. For example, we are a provider on the CMS GUIDE program. Contact your affiliated PocketRN partner or PocketRN support for whether or not PocketRN is covered by your insurance plan.
How do I sign up?
You can register your personal account at the Sign Up / Login link.
If you are registering for a specific clinic, you will be invited to register by the clinic coordinator. Look for an invite email in your inbox. Please reach out to the clinic coordinator if you believe you should have been invited but haven’t received an email.
How much does PocketRN cost?
Our partner health systems cover the cost for patients and caregivers to use PocketRN for a set period of time while they are receiving care and recovering. The coverage period depends on a patient's care plan. After coverage expires, patients and caregivers will have the opportunity to continue using PocketRN by purchasing a subscription. If you are a patient at one of our partner health systems, you will receive more information about how to subscribe directly and will never be enrolled automatically.
If you are not part of a health system that is partnering with us, please refer to your invitation email for pricing information.
How can PocketRN nurses help me?
PocketRN connects patients and their caregivers to skilled nurses with expertise in their area of need for virtual visits. Nurses are available to help with common procedures that patients have been instructed to perform at home, answer questions related to administering medications, provide advice on existing or worsening conditions, and more.
Who will I talk to on PocketRN?
When using PocketRN, patients will be matched with Registered Nurses who have been trained to deliver and escalate care appropriately, and ensure that patients receive the best quality care and advice.
Is PocketRN a mobile app? Do I need to download anything?
You do not need to download a mobile or phone app to use PocketRN. Simply register and login at https://pocketrn.com/app (See “How do I sign up?” above).
You will need to download Zoom for the virtual visits, which you can at https://zoom.us/download. Zoom can be downloaded on your desktop, phone, or tablet.
