Do I need to carry my own liability insurance?
No. The liability insurance your health system provides will cover your work on PocketRN. In the future, we will open up PocketRN to nurses who are not affiliated with partner health systems, at which time we will help provide appropriate liability insurance to nurses.
How will I be paid?
Payment is handled differently based on the clinic or health provider with which you’re associated. We work with the provider to ensure you are compensated fairly and on-time. For questions about a particular provider’s payment structure, email us at contact@pocketrn.com.
What if I can’t answer a question?
PocketRN will only connect you with patients who have care needs that you feel comfortable addressing. If you are unable to answer their question, we provide escalation protocols and instructions for you to follow so that you can confidently and safely direct patients to the appropriate individual or level of care.
How much Nursing experience do I need?
Telehealth is a convenient way for nurses to deliver care, but with it come some clinical challenges. A nurse needs to have a strong foundation of in-person experience in their area of expertise to be able to provide effective virtual care. We ask that nurses have an active license and at least 2 years of nursing experience prior to joining our PocketRN team.
How often do I have to work?
PocketRN is a way for nurses to care for patients in the convenience of their home. Nurses can determine the number of hours in a week that they would like to work, and you can flexibly alter your hours as you see fit.
